Post-relocation, Singh attempted to start several businesses, but unfortunately, none of them succeeded. "Either the work wasn’t done properly or the people I collaborated with disappeared. We also have a property dispute going on for years and a lot of money was spent on that, too. So, because of all this, my finances got badly affected, and I was very disturbed," he explained. The actor added that he has always been spiritual, a trait influenced by his parents. During a particularly low period, he turned to God and embarked on a spiritual journey, with no initial plans to return. Speculations arose about his disappearance being a publicity stunt, with some suggesting that if he wanted attention, he could have addressed his pending dues from "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah" through interviews or social media. Singh countered these assumptions by stating, "Even after coming back home, I didn’t give any interviews, but now I am speaking up because I want to clarify certain things that people are saying about me."
Gurucharan emphasized that his disappearance was not a stunt but a genuine quest for peace during a troubled time. Reflecting on his future, the 51-year-old actor expressed his desire to settle down in life soon, sharing plans for marriage.
